- Jak Boumans
- Jak Boumans (1945) BA, MDiv. is principal consultant with Electronic Media Reporting, an electronic publishing consultancy specialised in content strategy, based at Almere (The Netherlands). He has been active in publishing since 1970 and started to specialise in electronic publishing in 1980. In 1990 he started Electronic Media Reporting, performing strategy studies, doing market scans, executing project audits and organising conferences and workshops. Jak Boumans has regularly been a project evaluator, reviewer and expert for the European Commission in the field of electronic publishing, multimedia and content. Jak Boumans is General Secretary of the European Academy of Digital Media (EADiM). Jak Boumans has written extensively in English and in Dutch. In 1980 he was the first European contributor to the Online Chronicle fortnightly newsletter on Dialog. In 1984 he started for VNU in London a daily online newsletter IDB Online for the computer industry, a blog avant la letter. He contributed Content: Voices from the Ground (2003), e-Content: European Outlook (Springer, 2005). He is involved in the EUROPRIX.nl competition and the World Summit Award
