Top 500 Dutch advertisers spend 44% of their DM budget in interactive media. That is the result of a survey by full service e-mail & SMS marketing bureau MailMedia and the Dutch Direct Marketing Association. The survey was held under the top 500 advertisers in The Netherlands. The results point into the direction of a growth of 26% of the total marketing budget in 2005. Traditional Direct Marketing methods as mail will decrease with 4%, while e-mail, search engine and SMS marketing will grow.
E-mail marketing is mostly used for hotel and catering/tourism/recreation (18%), IT (17%) en fast moving consumer goods (16%). Fast moving consumer goods and automotive are with 6% the fastest growing sectors in e-mail marketing.
