The International Digital Publishing Forum (IDPF), the trade and standards association for the digital publishing industry, is drafting a set of common standards intended to ensure interoperability between various ebook devices and software applications. A number of software companies and device manufacturers within the ebook market have already expressed support for the new standards. The IDPF was formerly known as the Open eBook Forum (OeBF).
