WSA 07 Awards in Venice (4)

This is a short photoblog with snapshots of the WSA 07 Winner Conference and Award Ceremony in Venice. From far you see the characteristics of Venice with the tower of San Marco and the dome to be restored at the other side. I found on the wall of the hotel where I stayed the plaque, saying: 1501, this is the house of God and the port to heaven (what appropriate for a hotel where a former theology student stayed).

The Palazzo Franchetti was a nice place for the conference. Almost opposite was a typical baroque church at the campo di St Stephano.

At the begining of the conference Osama Manzar, our three times Eminent jury expert promoted the book e-Content: Voices from the Ground - Version 3, which will appear in May 2008. The board of directors and the Conference was honoured by the visit of Mr Sarbaland Khan, executive coordinator of the United Nations Global Alliance for ICT and Development(GAID).

The Conference itself was a great success. Project spokespersons were able to explain why they think there project were the best. Mr Eduardo Danilo Ruiz from Mexico, explained the Spanish internet magazine Indigo: brain media, which will be exported as an English internet magazine. Just to show the wide range of nationalities, in one of the session, Mr Ali Radhi, CEO of the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) explained the project for the Labour Market in Bahrain; the session was chaired the Eminent Expert Mr Alexander Felsenberg and reported by the Eminent Expert Mr Abu Talib Bachik, Senior Vice President Multimedia Developemnt Corporation in Malaysia.

The World Summit Award Ceremony was held on the island of San Giorgio, a fabulous environment for this celebration of creativity and expertise. The winners have left the island with the WSA 07 Award.
